Tourists from across the country were visiting Pahalgam, a scenic Himalayan town often called the “Switzerland of India”, when gunmen opened fire. At least 26 people were killed — newlyweds, fathers, sons, and local workers.

🧳 Vinay Narwal, a young Indian naval officer, was on his honeymoon with Himanshi. When one of the attackers asked if he was Muslim, and he replied "no" — he was shot on the spot.
They had married just a week earlier.

🕯️ Mothers collapsed in grief. Wives begged to be shot too. Survivors are still in shock.
India hasn’t confirmed if the attack was religiously motivated, but most victims were Hindu. One local Muslim man also died in the shooting.
Children screamed. People ran in every direction. The meadow turned into a massacre site.
Tensions with Pakistan may rise again.
